Q1 2021 Squad RPGs Performance on Android in the US

In the first quarter of 2021, the Squad RPG category saw significant activity on the Android platform in the United States. Sensor Tower provided insights into the performance of the top five applications in this genre. Let’s delve into the numbers for each app.

RAID: Shadow Legends by Plarium Global Ltd showed fluctuating revenue, peaking at nearly $2M in mid-March. Downloads trended downward from around 62K at the end of December to approximately 28K by the end of March. Weekly active users also decreased from over 200K to just under 150K in the same period.

Gacha Club, developed by Lunime, had no reported revenue but downloads remained steady, ranging from about 55K to 37K. The app's weekly active users saw a remarkable increase, jumping from approximately 578K to over 2.6M by the end of March.

The iconic Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes from ELECTRONIC ARTS experienced a gentle decline in revenue from $1.7M to just over $1M. Downloads decreased from nearly 40K to around 9K, and active users saw a slight drop from 602K to 524K during Q1.

Marvel Strike Force: Squad RPG by Scopely also saw a decrease in revenue, with a mid-March spike to $1.7M. Downloads hovered around the 20K mark throughout the quarter, while weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 210K and ending at 195K.

Lastly, Princess Connect! Re: Dive from Crunchyroll Games, LLC, which was released in January 2021, showed an initial surge in revenue to over $400K before settling to around $61K by late March. Downloads peaked at 101K in its launch week, then stabilized to just over 5K by the end of the quarter. Active user numbers started at around 46K post-launch and decreased to 27K.
